Step-by-Step Process
Your hair needs more than regular shampoo for best nourishment.
Deep Cleansing and Preparation
The treatment begins with a thorough wash using a Deep Cleansing Shampoo. Wash the hair two to three times, depending on the hair quality, adding water as needed while gently massaging the scalp. Rinse the hair completely, repeating the cleansing if necessary. After the final rinse, towel dry the hair well, then use a professional hair dryer on a medium heat setting to blow dry the hair until it is about 80% dry, preparing it for the treatment application.
Treatment Application
Next, the hair must be parted into four clear sections. The PRO CARE KERATIN TREATMENT is then applied using a tint brush, section by section, starting one inch away from the root. It is crucial not to over-saturate the hair with the product. Once applied, comb the solution throughout the hair entirely—the more the hair is brushed, the better the final result will be.
Processing Time
Once the keratin solution is applied evenly, the product must be left to process on the hair. For hair that has been chemically treated, the treatment should be left on for 45 minutes. For virgin (untreated) hair, allow the treatment to process for a longer period of 60 minutes.
Drying and Sealing
After the processing time is complete, the hair is dried entirely. Use a blow dryer on a medium heat setting, along with a hair brush, to ensure the hair is 100% dry. This is followed by the sealing process using a flat iron. Starting at the nape of the neck, take very thin 1/8-inch sections and move the iron rapidly from root to end at least 12 to 15 times per section. The iron's heat should be adjusted according to the hair's specific condition.
Post-Treatment Cleansing
The next stage involves washing the hair with Intense Repair Shampoo. Apply the shampoo to wet hair and scalp, massage it to create a lather, and then rinse thoroughly. Immediately follow this cleansing step with the application of the Intense Repair Mask.
Deep Conditioning and Finishing
Finally, after rinsing out the shampoo, the Intense Repair Mask is applied to the hair. The mask should be left on for 5 to 10 minutes to allow for proper penetration before being emulsified onto the hair. Rinse the hair thoroughly with water, and then proceed with the desired finishing styling to complete the Pro Care Keratin Treatment.
